STEREOGRAMS
FROM CAPPADOCIA
G. Schneider
The images pairs below are "right/left" stereograms.
and when properly viewed give the impression a "fused" three
dimensional image. Viewing R/L stereograms can be difficult (if
not impossible) for some people, but easy for other with some practice
(and patience). The results, though, are often worth the
effort. Some tips on viewing R/L stereograms are
HERE,
but do be sure to keep your head level (make sure the images don't
appear "titled"). Take the time to let your eyes "cross" and adjust
to
relaxed "afocal" imaging. For me (being nearsighted with appx
-2.5 diopters of correction with glasses), I find viewing these images
(because of their size and spacing) works best when viewed 3 to 5 feet
from the display - but that will be different for different
people. Some may find it necessary to view the images at a
reduced size.
This one, actually, is from Istanbul.
